WikiLeaks founder arrested
The founder of the website WikiLeaks has been arrested, but interestingly enough not for the creation of the website. For some years now he has been in Sweden, but recently was accused off the rape of two women and was arrested in London. As far as I know the website is still up, but this may not be for long. Here's hoping this exchange of information isn't censored by the US government. So much for freedom of expression when it comes to government secrets

He wasn't actually arrested for rape. The crime is, "sex by surprise." Consensual sex with a dysfunctional condom. The website will stay up, once you put something on the internet it's there forever, no matter what. Watch when he, "hangs himself," in prison.
ReplyDeleteThe charge is a little complicated, as one was indeed for "sex by surprise", though the other was slightly different, being that a condom broke during sex, causing Julian's partner to opt out of sex. However, Assange apparently continued, meeting the legal definition of rape for this singular case. Now, recently Assange was granted bail, with the help of Michael Moore's financial contribution. Julian is currently on a sort of house arrest, which seems fitting, as he can now continue Wikileaks, for the moment at least.
